JBQ Companion does not require user accounts and does not collect personal information from users. We do not maintain a user database containing personal information, and we do not store personal information on JBQ Companion servers.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

To support app features, JBQ Companion may keep information locally on your device. This can include app preferences, selected settings, quiz settings, team and quizzer information you enter, match information, scores, practice-related information, learning progress, and other feature configuration.

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on JBQ Companion servers under the app functionality described here.

4. How JBQ Companion Uses Information

Information kept locally is used to provide the features you choose, such as learning questions, practicing, managing teams, keeping score, reviewing match history, and setting up quizzes. JBQ Companion does not use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking.

5. Local Network and Wi-Fi Features

Quiz Room and live quiz features may allow devices to communicate over the same Wi-Fi network or personal hotspot. This local-network communication supports live multiplayer and quiz functionality. Your operating system may request local-network permission when it is needed for these features.

JBQ Companion does not use local-network permission for advertising or tracking, and these features are not described as uploading personal information to JBQ Companion cloud servers.

6. Device Permissions

JBQ Companion may request local-network permission for Quiz Room and live quiz features. Some versions of the app may offer the option to choose team or quizzer images; when you choose that option, the app may request access to your camera or photo library only to provide that selected feature. JBQ Companion does not upload those images to its servers under the functionality described in this policy.

7. Read-Aloud Learning Features

JBQ Companion can provide text-to-speech and read-aloud functionality for learning Junior Bible Quiz questions. This feature does not involve collecting voice recordings from you.

8. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

JBQ Companion currently does not use Google AdMob or other advertising networks, does not display third-party advertisements, and does not use targeted advertising. We do not use cross-app or cross-site tracking. The current website does not include analytics or advertising tracking scripts.

9. Children's Privacy

JBQ Companion is designed for Junior Bible Quiz and may be used by parents, coaches, churches, teams, and younger quizzers. The app is designed to function without requiring accounts or personal information to be submitted to JBQ Companion. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Parents and coaches should supervise children’s use as appropriate.

10. Data Sharing and Sale

JBQ Companion does not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers because we do not collect it for that purpose.

11. Data Retention

Because JBQ Companion does not collect or store personal information on its servers, there is no server-side personal-data retention under the functionality described in this policy. Information created in the app may remain on your device until you remove it, clear app data, reset relevant app information, or uninstall the app, depending on your device and operating-system behavior.

JBQ Companion is designed to minimize privacy risk by avoiding unnecessary collection of personal information. No method of using an application or device can guarantee complete security, so please use reasonable care with information kept on your own device.
